CenturyLink Business Review

Company Overview:

CenturyLink became the third largest telecommunications company in the United States due to acquiring Qwest Communications in 2011. CenturyLink provides internet services to nearly 3 million people across America. The VoIP products provided by this company are specially designed to combine both voice and data on a single connection. This simplifies networks and by reducing the number of necessary connections, increases call quality. The service supports IP phones by Cisco, Astra and Polycom, or you can keep your existing phone system and manage your own PBX.

Customer Support / Ease of Setup:

CenturyLink provides useful information online, including tutorials, speed tests, forums and store locators. There is also a blog and a section for FAQs. The support section is split into different navigation categories and it would actually be more beneficial to have one number to call, rather than spend time clicking through links to try to reach the right number to call. You can contact customer support by email, telephone and chat.

Bottom Line:

CenturyLink is not the easiest of services to navigate. It does not provide cable internet services and instead relies on Verizon to do so. This makes it more confusing when you look at their bundling package and it is slightly misleading. However the CenturyLink Business priority does seem to be to make faster and higher quality call connections, so they’re moving in the right direction.
