Value for Money

Voxox offers three basic VoIP services – SIP trunks, Hosted PBX, and their cloud phone communication system.

What is Trunking?

Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Trunking is a form of VoIP in which internet telephone providers deliver phone service over the internet by way of hardware installed at your location. The internet calls then go out on the public telephone network. This unified communications system typically includes voice, video, desktop sharing, and web conferencing. It is ideal for reducing phone service costs and for businesses that are spread out at separate locations across the world.

Voxox offers two Trunking price plans:

Metered SIP Trunks

Unlimited SIP Trunks

Free calls between office locations on your network, 3 trunk minimum, competitive per minute rates.

Free calls between office locations on your network, 3 trunk minimum, unlimited calls to continental US and Canada

$9.99/month per line

$24.99/month per line

Hosted PBX

his hosted VoIP phone system uses phones located at your office or residence which are managed and powered by Voxox remotely. You pay per user, and you lease the phones if needed. Voxox hosted PBX includes free calls between office locations on your network, 1 voicemail box with voicemail to email included, and all standard Voxox features. The pricing scale is customized according to each customer’s requirements and they are more than willing to provide you with a free estimate. Cloud Phone

Voxox cloud phone puts all your telecommunications under one roof on your mobile device. They have four separate packages – basic, plus, pro, and unlimited, all of which allow unlimited extensions. The basic plan gives you 200 monthly messages, one toll free number, and a 5 cents per minute calling cost. The plus package gives you 1,000 monthly minutes and messages, and 2 toll free or local numbers. With the pro package it jumps to 4,000 minutes and messages, 5 toll free or local numbers, and with the unlimited package there is no limit on extensions, minutes, or messages, and you can have up to 25 toll free or local numbers. No matter which cloud phone plan you go with, you have voicemail to text, voicemail to email, call recording, conference calling, call blast, call screening, eavesdrop, SMS with every number.

Voxox’s cloud phone is one of the best mobile unified communications options on the market. What you do is first chose a local or toll free number for your business. Cloud phone can then be set up to answer, route, and manage these calls. It is fully scalable and can add users, extensions, and phone numbers as your business grows. Another plus is that it doesn’t require the purchase of any hardware whatsoever.

Callers to your cloud phone number are greeted by an auto attendant and presented with a menu of options to reach extensions, listen to messages, or forward to other numbers. You have a number of options for routing numbers on cloud phone, and extensions can be set up to route the numbers to the mobile app.

Phone numbers that are connected to cloud phone can receive faxes, record calls, screen calls, conference with up to 5 calls, and more. Another feature that saves time is the voicemail transcription, which automatically transcribes voicemails and sends them to you by email along with an audio file of the message as an attachment.

All three main Voxox options are fully scalable and can grow with your business. Voxox trunking is charged per line, both with the basic plan and the unlimited. While the unlimited trunks plan costs more than twice as much as the metered plan per line, if you run a big enough company that will need the unlimited phone minutes, the unlimited plan is probably worth it.

The cloud phone also charges per line, and is fully scalable with options for small businesses and enterprise operations. Once you get up to the unlimited plan you can have as many extensions, minutes, and messages as you need, as well as up to 25 toll free or local numbers.

Hosted PBX is also easily scalable, with a per user pricing plan, that you can increase just by adding more users when needed. You can also lease the phones if needed, meaning that you can expand your service without having to purchase more hardware.

Ease of Setup and Management

Setting up Voxox cloudphone is as easy as just downloading the app, and then following the instructions in an email you will then receive from the company. Verify your account by way of the email and then enter your mobile number, where you will receive a code, which you use to activate your account. You can then easily follow the instructions that walk you through the rest of setting up your account.

With Hosted PBX you can lease the phone hardware if needed, and like with SIP Trunks you will need to make sure your hardware is hooked up to the system first.

Voxox Equipment

Voxox offers 8 different IP phones and teleconferencing platforms for use with their services. Most are made by Polycom, though there is also a single cordless Panasonic on display on their website and also a wireless headset system made by Plantronics and a server manufactured by Adtran. The company does not list the cost of purchase or rent on their website.

With the cloudphone, no equipment is necessary at all, and with Hosted PBX you can lease the phones.

Customer service

Voxox customer support can be reached by phone during regular business hours (5am-6pm PST), though there is no 24/7 helpline. The company says that queries sent by email or through their support tickets online are answered promptly, but there is no way to know how reliable this will be during off hours or late at night. The company also says that customers can call 24/7 and leave a voicemail, which will be answered promptly, and treated as a “high priority request.”

On the mobile app you can contact support directly through the help menu, as well as on the desktop program.

There is also a knowledge base with FAQ In customer service, but some parts were lacking, including a section titled “certified and verified PBX installation guides” which was empty.

There is no option to live chat with a customer service representative.

International VoIP Calls

Voxox provides unlimited free international calls to anywhere in the world as long as you are calling from one Voxox account to another. If you aren’t calling a Voxox number, never fear – the company offers competitive rates to companies across the world. These can be as low .019 cents a minute to Austria, to .256 cents and a bit higher for more far flung locales like Afghanistan and Angola. Smaller nations like the Solomon Islands will run you almost a dollar a minute, and some more remote locales will cost you a bit more than that. Incoming international call rates are cheaper across the board, with almost none of them passing 50 cents a minute.

Unified Communications/multi-channel

The company prides itself on having “the most complete, sophisticated, unified communications solution on the planet, powered by the most comprehensive service ever created.” They might not be the most objective source, but regardless, it’s a fact that there is a large package of features available on Voxox that allows you to get virtually all of your telecommunications services united under one roof. The cloud phone gives you access to all of your business’ telecommunications from your mobile device no matter where you are, and allows you to manage texts, faxes, voicemail, and phone calls all from one platform. It not only unifies your telecommunications needs, it also gives you great freedom and mobility, and can increase the efficiency of your business.

The auto attendant is a great way to allow the service to manage your incoming phone calls, saving you some headaches, while extensive call forwarding options mean that you’re much less likely to miss any official company communications.

Bottom Line

Voxox’s cloudphone is a real winner - it puts everything you need on one spot and is easy to download, set-up, and use no matter how tech savvy you are (or aren’t). The company’s trunks and PBX plans offer you a lot of options for how to run your business that are quite customizable. The bottom line is, Voxox has a lot to offer and if you’re looking to take your company communications to the next level, you should consider giving Voxox a test run.
